The LGA has called for devolution for councils in England ahead of publication of the Scottish Bill.

They are arguing that local authorities should be enabled to tackle the big issues that affect local residents through greater powers over taxation.

"On behalf of councils across the country, the LGA is calling for an urgent Constitutional Convention on the future of devolution in England, to debate and agree a fair devolution settlement across the UK.
